Hustle Culture Has Convinced Us These Are Normal...
Feb 03, 2022What else has hustle culture convinced you is normal that deep down just doesn't feel right?
I've been sick on and off since the end of September. It's sucked.
It's also challenged every single belief I have about productivity, success, my own worthiness, and what it means to rest, for the better.
You are not a machine. You are not meant to hack your way to 24/7 production.
You are not a failure for wanting to or actually doing less.
You are allowed to rest. To take time for yourself. To do nothing. To feel. To cry. To rage and laugh.
And it's OK if that feels completely foreign, wrong, or like something you haven't earned yet. Programming runs deep, friends.
Just because it's what everyone else considers 'normal' doesn't mean it's right for you (or that they're actually happy living out standards that really only benefit the patriarchy).
How would life start to feel if you actually allowed yourself to slow, to stop constantly doing, and listen to your body?
What if you were to let yourself turn off, regulate your nervous system, feel your feeling and actually start showing up in a way that honors your total enoughness?
Don't miss a beat!
