Is Being Selfish Really Bad?

Dec 30, 2021

When did being selfish become synonymous with hurting other people?

self·ish, adj: concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself

You know what I've seen happen when women drop the narrative that they're the last person they're supposed to take into consideration?

When they actually allow themselves to prioritize their mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing?

They finally start to feel calm, confident, and clear on who they are and what they're here to do in the world.

They're no longer on edge, constantly stressed, and needing to numb with TV, alcohol, weed, or IG just to relax.

They start laughing again, like full-on belly laughs. They have dance parties in the kitchen. They play with their kids and actually want to have sex.

Oh and the kicker? They notice more patience with their kids and partners. Their families become stronger and more resilient. They care more about the work they're doing. They change company culture and create new community projects.

When women are allowed to prioritize their thriving - they feel GOOD. And the world becomes a better place.

Not because they have to, because they have so much capacity they want to pour into others.

YOU matter.
Your needs matter.
Your physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being matters.

So be fucking selfish today.
